Our mission
SLAI Academy exists to help ensure the Deaf community is not left behind as artificial intelligence changes how we learn, work, and connect. When education and new technology are built without Deaf people in mind, access to information and opportunity can fall further out of reach. We aim to close that gap through accessible AI education that centers the language, experiences, and needs of the Deaf community.
We want Deaf people to have the knowledge, confidence, and opportunities to use AI, question it, create with it, and help shape its future. By building skills and sharing knowledge within the community, we hope to open doors to employment, entrepreneurship, education, and greater independence. Our vision is a future where Deaf people have an equal opportunity to participate, contribute, and lead as technology evolves.

Qualified interpreters at every event so everyone can follow and take part.

Event videos kept online so you can watch again if you missed it or want a refresher.
Research papers and guidelines
Papers, guidelines and policies related to sign language and AI, collected in one place.
